Klein Fire Dept is located within Harris County Emergency Services District 16. Station 1 was created in 1951 as a volunteer department and since then has become the operational agency for the ESD. The department has expanded to eight stations, an administrative building, a training facility, 30 pieces of equipment, and has a first due response area of approximately 52 sq miles. The department has approximately 200 personnel, this includes certified First Responders, EMTs, Paramedics, and administrative staff.  KFD also works closely with surrounding fire departments and EMS companies.
